I tested the free version of CRken for a month, and I can say that it significantly improved the quality of my code. I subscribed and will continue using it in my work. It’s very easy to use thanks to its integration with GitLab, and there's no need to install any third-party programs.

The auto-review feature provides quick feedback on my code, pointing out non-obvious syntactic and logical issues, unnoticed code duplication, missing error checks, unclear variable and class names, and more. It usually suggests valuable ideas for refactoring. Sometimes, it finds errors or potential bugs (though not all of them, testing is still necessary!). It also helps the human reviewer understand the logic and issues, even in a language or framework they are not very familiar with.

Our company uses the standalone version of the service on our own server, which is very important to us in terms of security and data protection. BeeCR is top-notch! They quickly helped resolve all implementation issues, and the support team is always available. As a result, in just a few months, we significantly reduced the time to deliver new features for our product, which is the key metric of our department's efficiency.

At first, I was somewhat skeptical – I didn’t expect much depth or insight. But within the first few days, the tool pleasantly surprised me: for instance, it highlighted that one of the tests didn’t cover a corner case and suggested a fix; it recommended optimizing one of the algorithms with KD-trees; suggested explicitly calling del to help the garbage collector free up memory sooner; and proposed replacing duplicated code across different sections by extracting it into a separate function. There were many other interesting findings as well!

It does an excellent job of identifying non-obvious issues of varying complexity and provides logical suggestions for fixes. It offers interesting optimization options not only at the code style level but also in logic. It really motivates you to write clean code right from the start.

It suggests good names for classes and variables, as if it really understands what the class is doing (one of our developers struggles with naming). It also suggests adding asserts, which gave me some great ideas and helped catch a tricky bug. In another merge request, it found an error and pointed it out clearly – this alone saved me a day of development since I didn’t have to deploy to the test environment and run lengthy tests. I definitely recommend it for everyday use!
